A Midnight Sun Affair(CIAO RAKAS! (FINLAND)/ CIAO RAHKIS! (SÁPMI))

A Midnight Sun Affair (originally titled Ciao Rakas! in Finland and Ciao Rahkis! in Sápmi) is a 2025 cross-cultural romantic drama series following Carmine, a Neapolitan hustler, who inherits his brother’s remote cabin in Lapland and must live there for two months in order to sell it, where he unexpectedly falls for a local reindeer herder. Carmine and his friends must navigate an unfamiliar environment, leading to the clashing of cultures and a blossoming romance. The series provides a beautiful contrast between urban, fast-paced Neapolitan culture with the serene landscapes of the Arctic North. It tackles themes revolving around cultural encounters and exchange, finding one’s footing in entirely alien environments, and sparking connections across borders.
